Michael, do you use ivory black for the darks? This painting has a vintage quality. Very beautiful.

Thanks everyone for the great comments! I truly appreciate them.

artnurse: I don't use black. I use a base mixture of ultramarine blue and burnt sienna for my darkest darks. This base mixture allows me to push it from cool to warm adding different colors to it, while still keeping it dark.
