"Pinot" (finished)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Oil on 1/4" Board, 13.25"x13.25" Commission-NFS

Well it's almost 2AM on day 2 and I'm finally finished. I am not used to painting this large so it was quite a difference from my usual daily paintings. I am also very happy with the outcome and plan on some larger pieces in the future. Oh yeah, sorry for the horrible photo.

Good for you Michael, your hard work paid off, this came out really nice, I'm sure the client will be very happy. I enjoyed the progress piece, I had no idea you started with a charcoal drawing. Very cool.
Best,
Todd

Thanks, Todd! I usually start with generall block-in using Yellow Ochre or something but this one was out of my comfort zone for that because of the size. I need something more solid to paint to and the charcoal lines were perfect.

Michael, Horrible photo aside, the painting is very nice. I'm a little bit of a wino and need to go for a fix after looking at this. :)

You painted this in 2 days?! You did a great job. And yes, I too think that anything bigger than an 8"x10" seems sooooo large after working on little 'uns day after day!
